Debating what to buy with discounts appearing on 3 series, the pound weakening and the silly prices of 4 series, in particular the 4080 12gb which should be a 4070. Covered on the psu front with 1000w platinum. Unfortunately locked into gsync with an earlier gen 1440p monitor and wanting to keep it as happy with res.

3080ti none fe new for £800?
3080 12gb none fe new for £750?
Wait anyway for possible better deals and the actual 4070?
Risk buying used?

I would have happily gone for a 3070 or 3070ti on deal but won't buy purely due to the 8gb and wanting the card to last.

Unless you're aiming for mid range cards or can get an excellent deal I'd wait and see what the 4070-4080 have to offer personally.

with the huge prices of the 40xx series and their crazy power consumption, I decided to get a 3080TI. It should be a huge upgrade coming from a 1080. Mine arrives today, can't wait :)
This being said, I don't know why OCuk are so expensive, you can bag one for £800 somewhere else. I would have preferred to buy here but, you know ....

Seems like a popular move from many on here! Should be able to get one for 5-600 sheets on MM. :)

It does seem like the way to go. Don't want to spend more and can't see a 4070 beating one outside of dlss and rt. Maybe when drivers mature. This is if you can even get hold of one.
