I'm looking to upgrade my PC in the next week, as mine is a bit prehistoric and struggles to run most programs. I've saved up some penny's and it's now about time I flogged this machine to a museum/skip
I have a budget of around £1300'ish. I was hoping someone could point me in the right direction. I don't have a scooby doo about computer hardware so am relying entirely on you guys to help me out.
Last time I visited, most people were holding off for new graphics cards and hardware to be released. I think these have now been released from what I'm aware? what was the verdict? are they worth the money?

I only need a tower as it stands, however was planning on getting a monitor too in the future. The system will be used mainly for graphic manipulation, video editing and gaming.
the only real preference I have is a case
if anyone could throw me some hardware in a basket, which you think will be suitable, I would really much appreciate it.
