Hi guys, pretty new here and looking for a bit of an upgrade - ~£250ish

Current setup:

Core2Duo E6550 2.33GHz,
2GB Ram,
Sapphire HD4670 512mb,
250GB HDD,
300W PSU (Lite-on or something - not great!)

Ideally for gaming at 1680x1050, the 4670 does a pretty good job but it does have trouble with a few games on max (Fallout 3 has to be toned down a bit) - my steam account has pretty much doubled in size over the past few days as well and wouldn't mind doing some of these games justice (Overlord II, Dawn of War, Dragon Age etc).

Was thinking a new PSU (400W~ish), another HDD and a bit of a graphics overhaul - 5750/5770/4770? My case is an HP one (it was a good deal at the time!) so cooling/size isn't phenomenal - anyone got any good ideas?

Hi, I'd look at this

New gfx card - DX11 support
Sapphire ATI Radeon HD 5770 1024MB GDDR5 PCI-Express Graphics Card + Colin McRae Dirt 2 Full Game £119.98 (£104.33)

New Case & PSU - good case and decent PSU, great value combination
Coolermaster Sileo 500 Silent Case - Black (500w Extreme Power Plus PSU) £79.99 (£69.56)

Extra RAM - should speed things up nicely re general usage (I've included this kit but try and match it up with your existing RAM as best you can)
G.Skill 2GB DDR2 HZ PC2-6400C4 (2x1GB) CAS4 Dual Channel Kit (F2-6400PHU2-2GBHZ) £20.69 (£17.99)

Sub Total : £191.88
Shipping cost assumes delivery to UK Mainland with:
DPD Next Day Parcel
(This can be changed during checkout) Shipping : £11.25
VAT is being charged at 15% VAT : £30.47
Total : £233.60

Havent gone for a HDD, if you think you'd benefit just do a fresh install on your existing one, that should put things back to that factory fresh state/speed
