Upgrade time, do I stick with UW or split?

I'm genuinely torn as to what to do and would like some insight from others who've been in a similar position.

Currently I have an Acer Xr341CK that I've had since 2016.

Now that I've been able to upgrade to a 6900XT and 5800X from a 1600X and Vega 64, I'm looking for a new monitor set up to make use of the grunt (since I'm pretty locked to 75fps).

Now the conundrum - I've been enjoying FPS games like PUBG and I've been finding the wider monitor a bit of a pain, but I also enjoy city builders etc.

Would you go for a 144hz UW or move to 2 x 27" 1440p 166Mhz panels?

Getting proper screen real estate is good reason for getting 3840x2160.
Acer X32 FP should finally bring mature 32" 4K choise in few months.

You need to first make custom resolution, before you can select it in games.

you legend!

I think forcing 2560 x 1440p for twitch shooters and sticking with a faster UW is the way I want to go!

Now to decide on which UW to get!

If average 1440 is enough for verticalko resolution, then I would be myself looking for Samsung's QD-OLED panels.
Would be hard time to get rid of lousy contrast, response time and viewing angle issues of liquid crap displays and back to what those were in CRTs...

Though who knows when those panels will actually arrive into shops in real products and suspect price might make salty taste good.

Not a bad shout actually, shame I'll need to wait slash bend over for it! :P

If Samsung had understood to go for 4K would be definitely considering QD-OLED to replace 8 years old 2560x1600 Dell U3104.
Though even if not money problem, suspect price will be real exorbitant after all the new tech/PC product /gaming product extras have been baked into price.

I know, I may need to stick to something already out that's cheaper and grin and bear it for a bit.

I really want to get off 75Hz
