I'm about to upgrade my old system (Q9550/P45/DDR2), and wondered if the list below is OK, or if you can suggest anything better.
Asrock Z68 Extreme4 Gen3 Intel Z68
Intel Core i5-2500K retail
2 x Corsair Vengeance Low Profile 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz
System used mainly for gaming and internet, unsure of 16gb is overkill?
Figured low profile memory was a good bet as I've not decided on a cooler yet, and know some of the larger coolers out there block off some slots if the RAM has large coolers on.
