Hello everyone.

Contemplating taking the plunge and upgrading my graphics card. I've been kinda out of the loop for awhile with the recent graphics card developments.

Here's my current specs:
Nvidia 670 GTX
Z87-3DHP
16GB DDR3 Cosair Vengence Low Profile RAM at 1333Mhz
Intel 4760k i5 3.4Ghz
@ 2560*1440.

My budget is about 300 GBP. :)

TBH all the manufacturers are getting pretty good at making heatsinks. Especially when you are only dissipating 150W.

You can't really go wrong with any of the suggestions.

Thought I'd post in here instead of starting another thread. I'm also out of the loop in regards to graphics cards.

I'm looking for a suitable replacement for my aging radeon hd 5770 (Vapor-X). I want to spend under £200, and the card needs to be as cool and quiet as my current card. Any suggestions?

Assuming your cpu, psu & res check out, then one of these after selling the game codes will give an enormous boost in fps over your currrent card :

I don't think I have an 8-pin power connector unfortunately. Perhaps a 285 instead?

I think any new card is going to blow my current one out of the water in terms of performance. I just don't want a card I can fry eggs on, or be mistaken for a jet aircraft on takeoff. :p

Hmmmm.....I'm not sure what the XFX cards are like in terms of noise (you can always get an adaptor for the power), but anyway, a 280 / 280X or 285 will still be a mammoth upgrade over the 5770.

Cheers, gonna look into them. :)
