Hey, after quite a few years I think its time for an upgrade. My current rig is
I5 2500k @4.4
Nvidia 970gtx
16gb DDR3
256GB SSD
3 TB WD Black HDD
Corsair tx750m PSU
Coolermaster HAF X
I have tried VR and want to get an Oculus in the near future so I am thinking and 8700k with a 1080, keeping my HDDs, power supply and case.
I have been reading and while there is no consensus, it appears the current nvidia cards won't be replaced that much sooner and so rather than potentially waste more than 6 months waiting for a new card I should probably go for cuurent gen. Or would it be worth waiting?
My budget is £1300 max but would prefer lower if its possible. I would also like to be able to get a decent overclock on the cpu to get decent longevity out of it.
