Upgrade time! Is this a good build?

Hi all,

Going from a i2500k with Asus Sabertooth P67, 680s in SLi and 16GB of Crucial 1600mhz and an H60 cooling to the following:

Intel Core i7-4790K 4.00GHz (Devil's Canyon) Socket LGA1150 Processor - £259.99

Asus Maximus VII Hero Intel Z97 (Socket 1150) DDR3 ATX Motherboard£161.99

Avexir Core Red Series 16GB (2x8GB) DDR3 PC3-21000C12 2666MHz Dual Channel Memory Kit £129.95

Corsair Hydro H100i High Performance Liquid CPU Cooler (CW-9060009-WW) £88.00

At the same time my girlfriend will get the old parts to replace her Asus Rampage Formula IX48 and Q9550, with 5870s in Xfire.

If I get 10 replies saying 'Go for it' (not the OCUK staff of course!) then I will. Otherwise, please let me know where you think I can improve for similar budget.

The board has eight, 6 native from Intel chipset and two from a Marvell chip.

Thanks Stulid. I have a preference for Asus boards so I will stick to that one, but I will change the RAM over to your suggestion. Maintaining the red theme is a bonus! The H100i is already in my cupboard, but it made more sense to include it on the basket for comparison purposes.

I will make the purchase when I get home - got to explain to the missus why I need it!
