Rig is of the Spec in my sig. Thinking of upgrading CPU and mobo over the coming months to something Sandy Bridge related, probably around the time of z68 prices settling down. Will obviously be changing my RAM to some other DDR3 (lower voltage for new chip) and will go with 8GB (2x4gb) @ 1600mhz and OC the CPU to whatever I can get under water.

two 580 3gb's or one 590 or two 590's (once the issues are sorted with them and most likely price hikes have dropped to around £500 each). Not sure which would be better for the res, if the 1.5gb is plenty for 2560 Id go with a 590 or two, butif its going to end up limited shortly after like the 295's then Id go with 580's or just wait till next round.
Either will be going straight under water on a thermochill 120.3, current 295's get temps of 57 after 4 hours looping furmark, in the summer, with windows closed. So yea, temps/noise not a problem.
Not sure exactly when I will be buying due to waiting on Z68 and then the 590 issues etc if I go for them. Dont have to get both at the same time and probably wont to be honest, will just be waiting till I spot a decent deal on something and/or my invoices get paid for the last three months work. Will also probably buy GPU's separately to spread the cost so I dont have to use any savings.
Or stick to what I have and just stick in the 580/590's? Dont really notice the CPU lagging too much except in bad company 2 where it sits at pretty high usage.
Cant clock it with 4 sticks of ram in, even though it clocks very very easily with only 2 sticks in so I do get cpu limited in certain games, but generally its VRAM limits (896 on a 295 ffs)I hit before GPU or CPU limits
Unwilling to go ATI so please dont tell me to get 6950's andflash them to 6970's or to get a 6990 or two instead. I like Nvidia, I know my way around their control panel etc and have had issues with almost all ATI cards ive had in the past, and no nvidia cards have caused me hassle.
Opinions?
Edit: Also willing to go second hand and get an I79x0 and an x58 for a cpu/mobo upgrade.
