Hey guys, having got a bit of spare money and deciding against going for a PS4 or Xbox 1 due to a lack of TV I'm thinking it's time to upgrade my GPU as the GeForce GTX 570 1280MB GDDR5 I'm currently using is starting to struggle with the newer releases.

Absolute top end of my budget is £300 but I'd like to save as much as I can while still getting a noticeable upgrade, I would prefer to stick with Nvidia but am open to anything.

As long as you have a decent PSU, you may also want to think about one of the 780Ti's on offer at under or around £300.

I've got the SuperFlower Leadex GOLD 750W Fully Modular "80 Plus Gold" Power Supply which I believe is pretty good...

A 970 would be awesome but was looking for a bit more variety, maybe around the £200 mark that would give me a good upgrade, as far as a 970 or 780ti go what should I be looking at?

I'd genuinely go against the grain here and go with the 290(X) and I have 970 SLI, this is based on my experience with both of those cards.
However you have stated you'd prefer Nvidia so in that case go for the 970.

Yes until they do NVIDIA don't have to release anything with more performance because the 900 series is selling so well.
Cards that are not much faster than last gen's flying off the shelf certainly ain't helping. AMD releasing new cards aside, people that already have 290 or 780 insensibly replacing them with 970 certainly sending a big fat message to Nvidia saying "we are eating up the efficiency hype and don't need faster card" :p

Not on the newer games it's not, drivers are really not doing the 780ti any favors just of late.

Links to show any consistent performance difference in favour of the 970? Last I looked the ti was quicker across the board.

Or just the site and I'll google it meself :p
