Well its that time again, i have already spoke to o2 and i am getting a better contract for my money. However it is time to upgrade my phone, which do you reckon

Nokia N80
O2 XDA Mini s

Cheers

Well that all depens on what you want from a phone/what you use it for. Personally I would use both, and imo the XDA is probally marginaly "better" (but there is little in it) the toss up would be size and wether you want a touch screen. I would personaly got for the N80 its newer and smaller, the XDA mini S is nice but I dont like and wouldnt use the slide out keys on the XDA so would go for the newer (worth more £'s too) N80. Cant really go wrong with either really. I wouldnt be put of by people saying the N80 is slow, its a lovly phone and the one I used was just fine, you arre also in a good position with O2 as you will get one with out stupid software on.

Do you want a phone or a PDA?

The N80 and Mini S can do both, but the N80 is more phone-centric and the Mini S is more PDA-centric. If you're going to be using it mainly for phone calls, web-browsing and photo taking then get the N80. If you're more likely to use the device for syncing with Outlook, editing Office documents and writing e-mails then get the Mini S.

The only reason i was not too sure on the N80 was due to the speed issues people have complained about. Does GPS software work on the N80 yet, that was one of the main reasons for the XDA

I've got a virtually identical Nokia smartphone and I haven't noticed any real speed issues (compared to my older 6680 and 7610 smartphones). If you're coming from a non-smartphone, you will probably notice a slight lag but nothing that doesn't affect any smartphone.

We're still waiting for Tom Tom to support the N80. It's only a matter of time though.
