Hi,

I have been away for a while but have finally got some money and want to upgrade to something that will be Vista capable and a lot faster than what I have at the moment.

I all ready have enough Hard Drives, DVD Drives and Monitors so all I really need is a new GFX, CPU, mobo, and RAM. I don't really want to go over £500 though I can. I don't intend to overclock at the moment though I would like to be able to a year or two down the line.

I really like the look of the OcUK Galaxy GeForce 7900 GS OC SILENT 512MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (PCI-Express) - Retail (GX-043-OK), but if there is some better out there please tell. I would prefer Pentium but am not set against AMD and apart from that I am open to any suggestion.

I would chose a 7900GTO but that goes a little over budget.

Don't forget the cooler for the 6300

Hows that? I removed the motherboard and put a cheaper one in. Better memory for the same price and a scythe ninja!

Looks great but in the past have a bought a top the range mobo so I can upgrade to a newer CPU or GFX card without creating a bottleneck, would it be smart of am I just wasting money?

Pentium lol, but anyway, do you overclock, from the way you post, I doubt you do(correct me if im wrong), then I would suggest that you increase ** budget a little and put cpu to e6600

I try not to at first though I have my Prescott running at 3.6 atm. I normally only overclock towards the end of a cpu's life or after it out of warrenty. I can't spend much more than £750 (that's how much is in my bank account) and I want/need £200 to tied me over to the 1st (pay day).

Well if you could get a Conroe based CPU and board, with a 7900GTO that would be great.

Shop around mate, Im sure you could get what I mentioned with a 7900GTO for £500.
