Yeah well after looking at my system I'm wondering what I should upgrade, CPU seems to be to be the obvious candidate. Anyway I know nothing about hardware so I figured I'd ask instead of just assuming, like I did in the past and ended up with a cheap AM2 CPU.
Main use of my computer is Adobe CS4 programs, video rendering, photograph editing and gaming. I run with 2 monitors, primary one I use for gaming is 1680x1050 and secondary is 1280x1024. Right now I can play most games maxed out with no problems. Only thing is my system from time to time feels sluggish. Currently nothings overclocked, I used to have the CPU running at 3GHz but since then I've reset the bios to pretty much stock.
So my main question is what should be changed? How much will it cost roughly? Will there be a huge increase? Should I wait until some newer CPU is released? Should I switch to Intel?
Current spec:
AMD X2 5000+ Black Edition 2.60GHz AM2
Asrock ALiveXFire-eSATA2 PCI-Express DDR2 Mobo
OCZ 8GB (4x2GB) PC2-6400C5 DDR2
Asus EAH4850 512MB (Glaciator fansink one)
Akasa 500W ATX2.2 PSU
