i'm going to upgrade to this
Intel motherboard BOXDH55PJ Classic series LGA1156 DDR3
Intel CPU Core i3 540 3.06GHz Clarkdale Core LGA1156
Hypertec 4GB DDR3 Kit (2x 2GB) Hyperam 1333MHz PC10666 DIMM
is this a good choice

I'm going to presume you'll be gaming and possibly overclocking, tell me if you're not.

I'd change the motherboard to a MSI-GD65 as it has sli and cf options if you'll be gaming, the rest looks pretty good.

im a gamer :) dont know to much about overclocking maybe not

Yes it does.

Nothing wrong with Intel boards they are rock solid but they don't allow oc and are featureless when compared to other manufacturers, making them pretty poor value for money imo. My choice of mobo would be the P7P55D-E which is on offer this week. But I had alway prefer ASUS.

Or spend an extra £1 and get the GD-65 ;)

It supports SLI and CF and overclocks better, but i don't think the OP's budget allows either, get the board i linked to before.

but it doesnt have sata3 and usb3 ;)
annd why is everyone(well most) recommendingp55 boards fr an i3 rig?
im sure a h55/57 board will be good enough
