I am currently in the process speccing myself the ultimate PC. I wont be building this for at least another 6 months since I want to get the best possible components for the money and am willing to wait for sometime before purchasing the items I need. I would say my budget for the new system can easily strech to £2000 since I know that I did skimp on the above system and have wish for a while I spent that little bit more at the time.

So, OCuk and the people of GH what would you recommend I keep from the above system if anything or shall I spend the money upgrading what I have and use the cash for a decent 5.1 setup for the front room instead. Can I upgrade on the cheap? perhaps going crossfire? Over to you folks!.

In my opinion your system is pretty good, only options would be a larger SSD, Z77 Board for Native SATA 6GB/S.

If you're not think of building it for another 6 months, id leave it.

Wait until Haswell makes an appearance. Your PC is more than good enough.

RJC, is a man of wise words. :)

Keep what you've got for the time being an when the time comes to up grade id just change the following,
Ram/Gpu/SSD (higher GB) maybe mobo.
