Upgrade time!

Had the spec in my signature for ages and I've decided its time for an upgrade! Could i get away with the following as suggested in the custom pc magazines?

Asus maximus v gene
8gb patriot g2 pgd38g1600elk
ocz vertex 4 256gb
Intel core i5 3570k

£400-500 budget with the plan of upgrading my gfx a few months down the line...
