We’ll end of November. Struggling to decide.
iPhone 14 pro/max
Pixel 7 pro
S22 Ultra
Or wait till S23 ultra releases.
Currently got a iPhone 12 Pro which has been alright but nothing more. Battery life starting to become poor now (needs a charge by 1800.
Was previously a devout Android user and hated iPhones till I decided to try one after finding my S9 quite frankly horrible battery wise.
But I feel like I’m missing out with the zoom capabilities of the S22U as the wife has one and she was getting great shots when we were in Rhodes and I was limited by zoom. Her night shots also seemed clearer and crisper.

How easy is it to move back?
Don’t really use any Apple services apart from music. I use iMessage for Mum and Dad but both have WhatsApp and messenger.
I do own a iPad Pro but that worked fine with Google Apps and my S9.
Is the transfer back process easy enough?

Money no object probably the s22/23 ultra.

Way too expensive for a phone in my opinion though. Around the £650 mark is as much as I'll spend. Pixel 7 fits that bill.

I have an S22U (personal) and 14 Pro Max (work)...I also hate iOS btw
Transfer back is generally ok other than Whatsapp backups which is not directly compatible and as I understand is pretty hard to restore as I understand.

In terms of zoom features of the camera the 10x zoom mf S22U is 'ok' but its severally hampered by its f4.9 aperture which means in everything but the very best of light the image quality drops off a cliff. I rarely use it on mine as the results are generally pretty poor but its far from impossible to get good results with it. The over saturated look of the images it produces are also not for everyone.

The Pixel 7 Pro probably has the best stills camera of the 3 and the 5x zoom is comparable to the 10x of the S22U but video quality is frankly awful and doesnt belong in a 2022 flagship.
iPhone Pro Max has the best video quality by a country mile and decent images but they are too over sharpened for my taste, I can desaturate the S22's images but unsharpening an image well is much more difficult.

Battery life isnt even close between the 14 Pro Max and the S22U, the iPhone destroys my S22U all day long but the Samsung is still pretty good and I generally end with 20-30% at the end of each day but I can definitely squeeze 2 days out of the iPhone. Cant speak about the Pixel as I've only messed around with my wifes.

I sort of achieved it with my mother-in-law, going from an Android to iP13. I tried loads of 3rd party apps that claimed they did it and then bit the bullet, paying £32 for an app that could transfer WhatsApp databases. Of course it didn't work, the message threads were there and it looked like everything was fine but once you opened any thread - nothing inside. I troubleshooted with the developers, a newer version of the app came out and a few days later - they returned. This was Wondershare MobileTrans but I think WhatsApp are testing their own implementation of this.
