So, once again, it's been a while and I find myself with a little surplus cash.

I don't do heavy gaming, and will never go above 1080, and I do not mind if settings are not maxed out. Only new title I see myself playing is Diablo 4.

Current spec:

RX5700XT
Gigabyte GA-AB350M-Gaming 3 motherboard
AMD Ryzen 3 1200 3.1ghz quad
2x4gb Giel PC4-19200 ram

What I'd like to do is spend around £300 upgrading the memory and processor, whilst also including a new mouse (Deathadder essential likely) and a new SSD to replace my current dying one (1TB will be more than enough for me)

this was my initial thought until i saw my motherboard would actually support the cpu below.

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £321.91 (includes delivery: £0.00)

So, with that said, any advice or better options? feel free to give me a £600 budget option that may persuade me :D

TIA!

A couple of rebuild options:

My basket at OcUK:

Total: £615.85 (includes delivery: £7.99)

Based on reviews, I'd recommend this cooler instead.

With stock cooler (wraith stealth), but an upgrade would be nice.

If you need MATX, swap for Gigabyte B650M DS3H (can get it for similar price).

cheers for the replies guys. I'm certainly sold on the 5000 series over the 4000 series (will definitely need at least 2 bios flashes though) Will do some reading up on the above when I get home from work. I already have a M.2 drive so the SSD needs to be sata, but that's easy to swap around - not fussed on form factor either, pretty much anything fits in a Lian Li v2000
