Hi there,

Thanks in advance for any help on the below.... :)

Hoping to add some more memory to my system upto 4GB using 2x lots of (2x 1GB) Dual Channel Kits.

I have the following motherboard:-

Motherboard >>>

I've seen lots of the correct type of memory available but I have a question about the voltage requirments.

Most of the memory I've seen begins at 2.55V for 3200 based DDR 400.

From the motherboard specs, it details a 2.5V handling. Does this mean I must find memory chips with at least 2.5V onwards for it to work,...or is this value a maximum that the motherboard can handle?

If not suitable, should I be considering going for slower 2700 based DDR 333 memory which is more around 2.5V ??

End goal is to basically have 4GB and run XP Home with a 512MB based GFX card. I understand that the XP OS can only address (upto) ~3GB for Applications (depending on other devices stealing further addressing space) and a further 1GB for kernel functions since its all on a 32-bit system...

Thanks all !

Lopo
