Hello I'm currently running a 3570k at 4.2 on a maximus v gene with 16gb ram and I was thinking of upgrading my gtx 970 to a 980ti and keeping the other components.

I have two questions one is will I see a benefit upgrading to the 980ti future proofing and the second is my 970 sags on my motherboard it's the Asus strix version and the motherboard is a mini atx.

Worried that putting in the 980ti will be even worse given that I'm guessing it's a larger and heavier card thanks.

Get a backplate for it, will atleast help some sagging...
A 980ti is probably the only recommendable upgrade path from a 970 (I have a 290 which performs the same as a 970 and have been told by quite a few people).
You will see big FPS increases between the cards. What resolution are you and what games do you play?
