Hey guys,

Want a bit of advice - I currently have a pair of 480's running in SLI.

With the latest price drop I'm really tempted to grab the Hydro Copper 780. I'm not expecting the 780Ti to be an incredible jump in performance over the 780's (am I wrong in thinking this?) and also I'm guessing the hydro copper version or even just a standard one with an additional water block would run me into the £700+ mark which is too rich for my blood.

Do you guys think I should make the jump? Maxwell is a good 7-8 months away and nobody knows what how that is gonna perform etc etc, we all know the cycle :P

Edit: just realised I posted this in the watercooling forum... Could a mod kindly move this to the Graphics Card forum please :)

Yeah I decided to go with the 780 Hydro Copper, should really bring my temperature and power usage down from these 480's. Win win all the way around. While it'll be interesting to see the performance of the Ti, I don't think it's going to warrant the price tag once I have the hydro installed.

No that's aftermarket mate, reference cards are the cool looking Titan cooler cards. e.g:

Basically - go for the cheapest, cooler doesn't matter if you're sticking a block on it unless you want the fancy PCB + VRMs of say the Classified/Lightning.

I've got 2 of these in sli, run fine, idle between 25 - 30c and on a full load highest I've managed is 45c
