Upgrade to a 980Ti now or wait until Pascal?

I'm in the process of selling on my two 970s and have some money saved up so i'll be in the market for a high VRam, high end Graphics Card to last me a while, is Pascal close enough (1080/1080Ti or whatever comes first) in the next year? Like, January-March time? Is it worth waiting for that or to pick up a 980Ti

By all accounts small Pascal will be out in March 2016 ish and Maxwell will easily match it.

It's capable but hearing the whole 10x performance yada yada and the new vRam techniques? i've been reading sound interesting.

However nVidia are good at telling me sweet little lies, the todd howards of the GPU industry.
