If you are going to buy the mboard and the ram, you're better off flogging your old system..

dfi expert = 146 bucks.. decent ram = 100+

Remember that the new ram will be no good to you when upgrading in the future. If I was you I'd try flogg off my old system, get as much as you can then add the difference and get a conroe. I'd keep the g card, just buy a reasonable g card to go in your old rig and get flogging it!!!

Still cost you a bit to upgrade though, but to me seems a little pointless to spend £250+ on an old system, which in the future will only yield up a graphics card to take to your next upgrade.

Just my opinion.

Edit.. speaking from experience, cheap psu's seem a bargain at the time, kinda makes you mad when it goes pop, and takes out 300 quid with it. I was also amazed how much easier it is to get stable clocks with a good psu.. The psu is one thing you certainly shouldn't skimp on, I can vouch for that :(

You dont have to get an expert, get the dfi ultra D(£88) and 2gb of Gskill HZ ram(£150). This should give you a better overclock if you have a good stepping X2 3800+.
