Upgrade to I7 Help, Purchasing a Bundle

I would like to know how you magically over few days first increase the budget from 500 to 900, then to 1100 and now to over 1400.

But yeh anyways, after all it's your choice.
I just don't think it's worth it, would still go with the phenom just with the small exception that ill wait a week or two now and get the new 965BE : ).

Either way you choose, the 295 is overkill.
Just get 1 275 or 4890 and then if this isnt enough for you ( and I bet it will be more than enough ) get another one for SLI/CF.

PS.
That review doesn't really say much, all I see there is phenom winning in some games and i7 in the other ones ? Where the most difference on either side is about 2-10%.

Across all of the games and all of the resolutions we tested, the Phenom II system delivered frame rates just as playable as the Core i7 system.

Sorry, Its only sitting at £1250 at the moment...

I was thinking along the same lines on the 295, I'll probably end up with the 275, as looking at benchies on the same site the 275 is about 80% better than my current GFX. So it should be all good.

That should also bring down my costs to around £1000 ish.....

I'm gonna wait until the end of the month to purchase this all anyway.... so will still consider the phenom, but I think that even tho the differences are minimal I will probably still go for Intel, as thats what im more comfortable with.... I know its a bit fanboy'ish....

Again I know this is going against your previous advice, but i will probably stagger some of the components, so I'll probably purchase the GFX in October when I believe new cards are rumored to be released, and more than likely I'll wait until that sort of date for the SSD's just in case any major revisions are released.

Once again, sorry about the moving budget, but i've never been too good at self control.... especially when it comes to new toys :(

Still havent managed to fix the old box :(
