Upgrade to this CPU or not?

Hi guys,

I have a decent setup at the moment with this CPU:

But a guy at work is flogging a few of these for £30:

And I was wondering if it would be worth upgrading? I can obviously spot the difference in the clock speed and cache, but was wondering what the major difference between a Pentium Desktop CPU and a Pentium D CPU was?

Would I notice much improvement?

No I wasn't joking, i'm a bit out of date with the CPU's to be honest

I have the E2160 in at the moment, which is the 1.8Ghz, but in a week or so I will be getting a new batch of machines @ work, so will swap out the E2160 for a E2180 which I think come at 2.0Ghz

Any decent OC'n utils for a Dell? Also, the CPU at idle is running about 31º and about 42º after a blast on a quick game ... what's the max temp this kind of CPU should be reaching?

What about the max temp if I try to overclock the E2160?

Might just wait for the E2180's to come in then, and change it for a 2.0Ghz ...
