Should I upgrade to vista? I'm currently using XP SP2 and I'm in the process of buying a new gaming rig to play Crysis and other future releases. Would it be a good idea to upgrade to vista or am I best to stick with XP for just now

Cheers

I can recommend upgrading, I did it and I couldn't be happier. In terms of gaming Vista is right on top of XP, there is hardly a difference these days.

i would recommend it
i upgraded my system a couple of weeks ago
and upgraded from XP SP2 to vista 64 OEM at the same time
no problems encounterd
i play crysis as well

Whereas I would recommend against it as a full time os. I personally find it absolutely infuriating to use.
I always find myself booting into xp to work & play games,it just runs so much better for me.
Go dual boot so you can try it out for yourself.

cheers guys,

Does XP allow you to use your 4GB? I know vista 32bit only allows 3.25GB or something like that

I was as well reluctant to upgrade to Vista since i have heard a lot of people saying that they had difficulties with the new OS. From what i have seen it was people who tried Vista as soon as they come out and they either got irritated by the crappy driver support at lauch so they went back to XP and never looked back. I installed Vista 3 months ago and no problem so far. Everything works fine and i must say that Vista seems more responsive and faster than XP but then it might be just me. Depends on your hardware though aswell.
