Upgrade to windoes 7 (but which one)

Am looking to upgrade to windows 7. but not sure which one to get.
and how do you disabled hibernation and system restore.

Original Equipment Manufacturer. I'd avoid it at current prices as it's false economy in my opinion and technically you're not supposed to use it anyway.
 
Yes and no. It would literally work on your system, but you won't be able to use all of your memory and there is little point not going with 64 bit unless you have a very specific compatibility problem. If it's the PC in your sig, everyone would recommend 64 bit.
 
32 bit will only see at most 3.5GB of your RAM. So you pretty much have to get 64-bit if you want to use all 8GB. It is a very recent machine so I don't see you having any compatability issues. Though regardless of the age of a PC, it is usually older, poorly supported peripherals that have problems with 64 bit OSs.
