upgrade to windows 7

You haven't said what you are upgrading from.

If you currently have Vista, then it's up to you if you wanna spend some money. It isn't essential. If XP, definitely upgrade, so you can actually use DX10/11 with those 5870s.

Windows 7 is a great investment no matter what.

EDIT: And before you ask, definitely go 64-bit.
 
From Vista? Not really worth it if you have a fast computer already. Only worth it with slower systems running Vista imo, because Windows 7 is better optimized than Vista. With XP, then with your graphics card I'd say it is definately worth it.

Also I also agree with the Harrpy Potter character above and suggest 64 bit all the way. :)
