I have a 7800 GT 256mb Card and i want to know is it worth me upgrading to an X1800XT 256mb card? Would i notice a big difference and is the X1800XT better at overclocking?

Would i be better off getting a 7900 GT 256mb?

Work out what you can sell your current grpahics card for, then look at what you can afford to add to that price, then pick a card in that price range. If possible try for 512 meg of ram on a card, it`ll help in the long run (cash dependant of course) X1900XTX if your into ATi cards , the X1800 series is already superseeded, and the X1900 series soon also :eek:
 
Depends how much you'll get for the GT, the x1800 XT is faster than the GT, its faster than the GTX even, and its also a cracking overclocker, not sure if it clocks better than the GT, but as i said its a cracking overclocker in its own right anyway, but id probably just save the money and just overclock the GT. :)
 
THe X1800XT is definitely the quicker card (its quicker than the 7800GTX).
They are also on sale at the moment for very good prices. If you can though maybe get the 512MB X1800XT.
 
I have overclocked the 7800 GT just wondering if it is worth the extra upgrade (£30 would be the difference as i have a buyer for my 7800 GT) to get the X1800XT 256mb? Would i see a nice difference in games etc etc. Looking at seeing some benchmarks between the 2. Anywhere i can get some please?
