Hi all, my current spec is:

AMD X2 4800+
Asus A8R32-MVP Deluxe
2x OCZ 1GB PC3200
ATI Radeon 1900XTX 512MB

It runs every game on the market at maxed out settings, but as DX10 starts to be coming in now, im not sure how long this will last!

So realy im just wondering if its worth selling these parts, and going

Core 2 Duo 2Ghz
4GB PC6400 DDR2
SLI/Crossfire Capable Mobo
8800/2900 Card

Or if its worth just waiting untill it strugles then upgrading later, when parts are faster and/or cheaper :)

Wait until DX10 games are actually released.

If you can play everything on max detail whats the point on spending on new hardware that will be outdated in 6 months.

I have been very tempted to do this but I realised I wouldn't need all the new hardware, I just like benchmarks :D

hehe true, you do have a point, if I just wait untill my PC is strugling, I get the most out of her :), Just trying to work out what its best to spend my money on ATM

Upgrade Current Rig £400
Turn Old rig into MCE System £250
Xbox 360 Prem £200
Laptop £300

Or just save my money, keep it safe, etc..... Just havent spent on my PC much for the last year (Started uni) so I have an itch :D

What monitor(s) have you got with that setup? Depending on what you have now, you could look at new one if you really have an itch to spend money. At least it won't be outdated as quickly as the other stuff. ;)

But yeah, agree with those above. That's a pretty nice setup already, and should last a while longer.

Have 2x19" Belinea TFT's (Programing and such)

whoa, ok, I guess you're sorted in the monitor department too then. :p Hmm.. personally I'd do the MCE or Laptop thing. Or more likely just save the money for a few months.
