Hey,

I've got about £40 to spend on some cheap hardware for an old PC so I can sell it for a decent price.

The spec of the PC is:

2.66GHz Celeron D
256MB Samsung Original DDR400
Onboard Realtek 97 sound
Onboard Intel Extreme graphics
Some old low-end MSI motherboard
80GB IDE Hard drive
CD+RW/DVD+R
Floppy drive

(I'm not sure about some of the brand names since it was prebuilt)

What I want to know is what upgrade would get me the best price? :)

With my budget, it will have to be a single upgrade, like RAM or a graphics card, since all the larger hard drives are over £40. :p

Also, could you give me a price for how much I'd be able to get for it with the proposed upgrade?

Note: it will have Windows XP Pro freshly installed.

Edit: it also has a floppy drive

I had a feeling it would be RAM that most people suggested. :p

I'll probably just go for the 1*512MB OcUK Value RAM and advertise it as upgradeable :p
