Upgrade???

Providing your motherboard/BIOS supports X2 CPUs yes (except for the thermal goop on the heatsink which should be cleaned off and re-applied).

In some cases, you may have to flash the BIOS on your mobo to give it X2 support. If your board is quite new though, you probably won't need to.
 
What's the rest of your hardware? The CPU plays an important role in gaming but most noticeable improvements are realized with 3dcard and memory upgrades.

...and btw yes your mobo supports x2 processors.
