Upgrade!

I've been out of the desktop game a while now so I'm not sure what I should upgrade in the below system;

ASRock mobo with ULi chipset
Opteron 144 (1.8GHz 1mb L2) running at 2.7GHz (2400MHz HTT)
1GB DDR running ~500FSB
HIS X1900GT

I was thinking the most cost effective solution would be 2GB of fast DDR, make much difference in modern games? I would hazard a guess at yes.

Suggestions?

Yeah they are bloody high aren't they, £165 for 2GB of Geil Value.

I might take the plunge as I don't see even the X2 AMD range making that much of a difference over my current CPU, the only real route would be a complete change to core2 and that would be pricey (and I don't think I can be bothered either).
