Upgrade?

I'm thinking about upgrading my system, mainly to play Crysis but also for other games. My current spec is:

E6420 @2.8Ghz
Asus P5N-E SLi
Geil 2GB PC6400
7800GTX
OCZ modstream 450W
(My res is 1440x990 btw)

It should be able to play it on lowish settings but I'd rather wait until I can play it on high settings. Trouble is I don't really have much money to upgrade, I'm guessing that it's only the gfx I need to upgrade but if I get anything beefy then I'd probably need to upgrade the PSU as well.

Budget will be around £250 plus whatever I can get for my gfx card (or anything else I replace).

I will want to upgrade in around a month's time. Is there anything I should wait for? I know there's always the newest stuff coming out but is there anything HUGEly important coming out that I should wait for?

Any advice?

I'm not really up to date with graphics cards but is the ATI 3800 series not good for the price point? I read a Custom PC in the supermarket today and I can't remember which one it was but they thought it was rather good.

PS

I'm up on PSU's and the Corsair HX520 is an absolute gem it's better than some good 700watt from other brands it's as solid as a rock and your electricity bill will also go down super efficient.

you might want to wait until the new 8800GTS is released, as this apparently going to be faster than the current GTX and cheaper. I'm sure I heard it was meant to be out like around now but I can't find anythin on it so it musn't be out quite yet. It should play Crysis quite a bit better than the 8800GT, although that doesn't play it at all badly imo

3rd of December for the new GTS's. But yeh, by the time you upgrade, they will be out and could be very good for the money. If there priced at £220-£240 then they will probably be the best option to go for. I'm waiting for the GTS's myself.
