no, im not getting this just for that one game so would this card be good for future games? or should i say will this blow away my x1950 :)

ok i took a chance and ordered! :D
should have it on the 29th, hoping it will play future games, but for now i hope it will boost the horrible load times a get with Killing floor and L4D2, and i may try replaying GTA4 if it gives me a noticable graphics boost :)

It is about the same as a 4850; you're right. Not a bad card at all the only gripe I have with it is the constant rebranding its gone through to end up in the nV 200 series when its definately not a 200 eries card.

I presume by the review it depends on what settings and res you use.

i did want the 260 but i refuse to pay over £100 :)
on games i use 1024x768 (same as desktop) with all other settings as high as possable so the 250 should do the job :p

upgrade complete :D just seeing what it can do now...
ATI tool gives me around 1000 fps (600 FPS with x1950)
GTA IV can now be run with the texure settings on HIGH :) (medium before)
and resident evil 5.... WORKS! :) (totally refuses to work on x1950 due to some kind of card specific fault)
