upgrade

ok im getting my deposit back from my flat and gonna spend it on an upgrade. so crossfire my 5870 or sell that and get a 5970? i also saw the 470 quite nicely priced so would this be a decent option? i cant decide.

I guess the question you should ask yourself is do you NEED faster graphic card? Is your current 5870 struggling for any games that you play?

Also what's the spec of your system?

its mainly as i like to play things at max and since i forgot i was getting this cash id like to push my system more. the 5870 has been annoying me slightly as it wont perform correctly on mass effect 2 (frame rate spike and tested everything including mates cards) but apart from that its been great but i also read crossfire would give me a 30% performance boost so i was thinking a 5970 to get more out of it, then had a little look at what nvidia was offering but their latest cards have had some bad press and the general reviews on overclockers havent exactly been 5 star

Is your i7 930 at stock speed or overclocked?

i had my i7 930 at 3.6 but was hitting the 80's after around 20 mins on prime so back down to 3.2, i did expect better with the case i have and the h50.
