A 570 is a good card too, and should be able to overclock further compared to the 6900 series: http://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-112-MS&groupid=701&catid=1914&subcat=1010
In terms of stock performance the 6970 and 570 performs very similiar to each other, with the 570 pulling slightly ahead.

Other than that, I'd agree on 6970 or 570 depending on whether you're ever likely to go Eyefinity or 3D respectively. If neither appeals, do a search to see if you can find a benchmark of your favourite game and these cards to see if one performs better in that game.
