I have a ati 5870 2gb version is it worth upgrading to a 580 and if so how much faster is the 580 want to upgrade for bf3.

HD7000 series is just around the corner.. and 7950 most likely will be onpar with 580 and 7970 around 15% more powerfull than 580. [
its just my guess obviously]
Point is - AMD cards are never overpriced; runs cooler and draws less power. Id think its worth the wait.
