Hi all,

I am thinking of upgrading my present rig which is around 4 year old.
My current spec is,-
1) AMD AM2 Athlon 64 6400+ Black Edition Dual Core 3.2GHz, 2 x 1mb Cashe.
2) Asus M2N-SLI Delux NF570 SLI, S AM2, PCI-E ( x16 ),DDR2, SATA Raid, ATX
3) 4GB Corsair DDR2 PC-6400 ( 800 ), 240pins, CAS 4-4-4-12.
5) GeForce GTS250 Igb card.
6) Corsair 620W power supply.

I would be grateful to know what the community would recommend for the upgrade, I have a budget of around £500 which I might be able to exceed if need be.

Kind regards
Mike

I would do a CPU/RAM/MOBO upgrade first, what is the PC used for?

Mainly simulation, texturing and photo manipulation.
The HDD is a SATA 500gb.
Many thanks again for your help and advice it is very much appreciated.

The price of the i5-2500k has comw down this week so you could go with this if you found an extra £20:
