Hi.

What case+PSU do you have?

Overall it looks like a nice PC, you could overclock the CPU a bit if you add or have a big cooler.

Do you have a nice keyboard+mouse etc?

I'm unsure of case, the PSU is 850w modular.

The CPU has a watercooler on it, I done a lot of reading into overclocking and got it upto 4GHz at a stable temperature. (According to CPUz)

The PSU will have a label on it giving you the make+model, but chances are it is a good one.

Good.

Well try the games and see what you think about performance, then if you want to upgrade grab a GFX card.

GTX970 comes with both games if you dont already have them.

You may need to update the boards BIOS as some boards need this done to see the newer GFX card releases.

And check the length of a gfx card against the room inside your case.

Sorry to bump the thread.

Due to the new ATI cards now out, and the fury cards on their way Im still thinking to I get rid of this system and completely upgrade or just buy a 390x or a Fury.

Any advice will be appreciated as Im reading myself into circles.

You can swap the GFX card out for something new/faster then wait till early September and that is when Skylake+Z170 will be out, some Z170 boards will also use DDR3 so you can even reuse your RAM.

Ok thank you, ill take your advice.

Graphics Card wise, is it worth holding out for what fury offers or grab a 300 series?

If you have £500 + to spend on new card,i'd least wait a few days for the reviews/benchmarks of the Fury before you make a decsion.

Yeah rough price on the fury x don't know if anyone knows for sure yet, though Gibbo did say when they are released here on the 24th they will be @ premium price so a lot more, until stock becomes more settled 2-4 weeks later, but don't quote me on that lol just bits and pieces ive read through this forum :)

The FuryX comes first (the one with the 120mm water cooler) and is released on the 24th this month, Gibbo says the initial stock will carry a price premium, the following stock will/should be £550.

There is also the Fury (non-X) which is air cooled and comes in July, that should be cheaper than £550 I would have thought.

The 300 series are basically rebrands of some of the existing 200 series cards.

Are they still a good card?

Just want to bump this, it looks like Skylake isnt as good as first expected. So, with this in mind what would people suggest for a Mobo & CPU?

Im settled on hopefully grabbing a 390 when/if the come on special soon. Is that a good shout also?
