upgrade

After nearly 10 years of being out of touch with upgrading computers i have finally decided my old super micro is out of date.
I have bought an msi 5 gamer board, despite not being a gamer !.
It suddenly crossed my mind if my old atx full tower is still ok to use, or do I need a new case ? Will the usb wires in my old case still fit the new board ?
I did study a full tower one on nova tech site, but looks very plastic as opposed to my old white steel one.

As it's an ATX standard case, then current mATX/ATX boards will fit. It's possible the case won't support larger fans as is common these days, but as long as cooling is adequate that won't matter.

With regard to USB, assuming the front panel connector is USB 2 you'll be able to use it. You won't be able to hook up the USB3 to the front panel, but the board appears to have further USB3 ports on the back anyway.
