Hi guys

I'm looking to upgrade my pc and was looking for advice here's what I have;

Motherboard: ASUS A68HM PLUS
Processor: AMD A10-7700K, Quad-core, 3.4 GHz, 4 MB cache
Graphics Card: Radeon R7 250
I have 8GB of RAM

Any help would be appreciated
thanks guys:)

Honestly your best bet would be to wait till the end of the month and grab a new graphics card. Either the gtx 1070 next week or the rx480 end of the month if you want to save some pennies

Yeah those graphics cards should slot right in and your processor and ram should do the job in most cases. These days the main requirement for games is the graphics card.

Hmm? The gtx 1070 isn't out till next Friday and will be between £350 and £400. And the rx480 comes out end of the month and will be around £200. :)

The 7700K will badly hold back the GTX1070 and probably the RX 480 but to a lesser extent.

Indeed. The rx480 would be the better fit. But with this budget you'll struggle to get a whole system upgrade. And for gaming the graphics is probably the best place to improve :)

Given your budget and existing system, the soon to be released RX 480 would be a better fit for a GPU upgrade than a 1070.

Also consider adding a SSD if you don't already have one, to install Windows, apps and games on.

We don't have all the details of the RX 480 yet. But early reports suggest it will be the best bang for buck card. And looks like it will be great for 1080p gaming. If you have a 1440p monitor then the 1070 will probably edge it out.
