Upgrade

So I'm looking at upgrading my system a bit.

Current setup:
Intel Core i5-4670K 3.40GHz
MSI Z97 Gaming 5 Intel Z97
EVGA GTX 980 Ti FTW
HyperX Savage 16 GB
6GB EVGA GTX980Ti FTW ACX2.0+
EVGA SuperNova G2 750W

I'm starting to get into video editing again and looking to maybe speed things up and improve performance with a new CPU (and if needs be Motherboard and additional RAM).

Just looking for some suggestions, especially if anyone does editing themselves and can recommend something from their own use.

Budget is fluid depending on what people suggest, if I just need a CPU vs needing the others too.

I think waiting for i7-7700K Kaby Lake release may be better.

A quick Google tells me that's out before the end of the year? If it's worth waiting for I've no problem with that.

If you can't wait, just drop a 2nd hand i7 3770k on it and overclock it.
Also, are you seeing maximum RAM usage? if so, add another 16GB.

For stuff like video editing X99 would be great, might as well wait though for the new chips to see what they bring. If you can't wait any of the X99 range are excellent.

Thanks. I can wait, and think its the best idea. Would much rather wait and buy once than buy a stop gap now. What I have can handle what I throw at it till the new ones come out. Thanks again.
