I mostly game on PS4 pro lately but on the weekend I loaded up day of defeat source and i really enjoyed it so i am considering going back to pc and having the best of both worlds. My current pc has the following, i7 3770k, 16gb ram, gtx670. Is jt just the gpu that will need replacing? I game at 1080p.

Yes, as the PSU must surely be powerful enough if it can drive a 670.

Gtx 1060 6gb is good for 1080p or stretch your budget and get the gtx 1070, sadlly prices have shot up recently but another option is a second hand 980ti.

Pick up a second hand EVGA in the MM. You'll still have plenty of warranty. And, if you wait until the mining prices crash, you'll have plenty to choose from at a great price.

Dont buy anything right now prices are ridiculous.

A 1070 NEW shouldnt be costing you more than £330 ish At launch it was around that or well under.

A combination of **** : uk pound, brexit, mining...supply and demand and nvidia doing its price manipulation thang! Have all combined to **** over the buyer..

Just have to hope against hope that Vega is the chosen one. (hahaa doubtful)
