For just 8 core CPU MSI B450 Tomahawk would be perfect.
Also cooler is completely excessive for it.
Already £21 Arctic Freezer 34 would do really nicely for 3700X.

solid.

personally would go standard Dark rock or even shadow rock if you dont mind the siilver

My basket at Overclockers UK:
Total: £118.68 (includes shipping: £8.70)

£15-35 saving. Dark is overkill but silent. Shadow will do perfectly be cooler then most and silent , but extra £20 over entry tier coolers

32GB perfect for media creation or if you run games with a lot of Steam Workshop Mods like City Skylines, which you can use 24GB Plus easily !
Doing basic Gaming then 16GB should be fine, would run 3600hz Viper Steel - plug and play

B450 then Carbon over the Toma for wifi and better vrm layout

but Toma was £85 at lunch, now pushing £100 on sites =/

shame out of stock, £10 more and latest Wifi 6 /AX standard aand Bluetooth 5

My basket at Overclockers UK:

better quality NVMe

I went with the 570 board for a bit of future proofing, dropping a higher core count at some point, the board was basic without any lights which is what i wanted, i have been holding out for the B550 with the aim of getting a MATX board.
RAM fits in with my current usage which at the moment is being held back by my 16Gb ddr3.
My GPU is a 5700.
Going with the big air cooler as i want it as quiet as possible have just reverted back to air cooling after 12ys of being on water, currently using a Silverstone Heligon (that i found in the loft) that is a bit of a beast, i could probably get away with using that but i wont be able to get am4 mounting.

Will look at the gigabyte wifi/bluetooth and the change of NVME.

DRP4 is a beast !

entry Aorus board would eat at the heels of Gaming X with wifi, but in turns makes it expensive - just like msi b450 carbon is £124 to cheapest x570 board being £130 odd (Gigabyte UD)

Im open to suggestions but i ideally want 570 matx would be a bonus but having trouble speccing a good one.

The Dark Rock Pro 4 is a great cooler (What I use) but is a pig to install, so bare that in mind.

yeah all the big ones are, my current cooler is on sideways because i had lost the instructions.
