upgraded from 2gb to 4gb problems

i bought some corsair ddr 2 xms2 c4 2gb memory to add to my 2gb which is the same.. once inserted the system crashed when it booted into windows and now it wont even boot in, as it keeps crashing after the window sign comes up.. ive put the original 2gb in and it still crashes..

system specs
2.4 Intel core duo 2
p5n32sli se duluxe memory
8800gt 512mb nvidia

Youll likely have to go into the bios (press del during post) and up the north bridge, NB voltage a few notches , as running with 4 memory slots filled puts more strain on this. Also check that the memory is running the correct voltage and timings.

nb is at 1.40v
sb is auto
memory voltage is auto

it still crashes

Try setting the memory voltage manually to 2.1, auto usually sets ddr2 ram voltage to 1.8v.

ye installed windows 7 64bit and i changed the voltage to 2.1 and it works with 3gb but when instert 1gb more it keeps restarting the computer

Maybe worth running MemTest on that particular 4th stick that's causing the crashing?

the thing is if i take out the 3rd stick and put the 4th one in it works fine !! but when all of them are in the slots windows restarts !! it says windows is loading files for setup !!!
