I've been running a 3600 with 16GB of Team group 8pack memory (3600Mhz, C16) for about 2 years with zero issues.

Just picked up a 5600X and installed it a few days ago and ever since, YouTube and Twitch will eventually crash in chrome and return an out of memory error. At the time of crashes, I'm typically sitting at 8 of 16GB used.

Initially thought it was something strange with chrome so turned off all extensions and done all the usual stuff, same deal.

I've turned off XMP hoping that wouldn't fix it, but all seems to be fine with XMP off. Have I hit the unfortunate side of the silicone lottery and the 5600X can't handle 3600Mhz, or is there something else I can do. I've not overclocked in 10+ years so any guidance is appreciated.

Yeah it was cleared. I'd never manually tuned anything and only ever enabled the XMP profile when the 3600 was installed and I again enabled XMP when the 5600X was installed.

I've since put in a new set of 32GB memory, enabled XMP and updated to the latest BIOS and haven't seen the chrome error yet.

I suppose I will test the old memory again to see if maybe the BIOS update helped with things.

Oh I forgot, I did reseat the CPU again just to check the pins and what not. I would have thought an overly tight CPU would only really be an issue on Intel based systems?

Well I got round to putting the old 16GB memory back in and again getting the errors.

I would set the memory timings manually, also, The new chip will be putting more presure on the RAM so might need a very small voltage bump(set it to 1.36v if it was at 1.35v).
Wouldn't it be the opposite way round? Wouldn't the RAM be putting pressure on the new chip? Anyways, I'll try to give it a little voltage bump and see how it goes.
