Upgraded Ice...

I have those speakers and they're great.

I have the model up from that head unit and it's great.

I have heard that sub and it's not bad.

Do you have an amp to power them though?

I would personally go for (and already have) a full infinity speaker set up, get a 12" infinity sub and then get a JBL Gran Touring amp to power it...nice and inexpensive and great performance.
 
Well the fronts would be powered from the headunit and the sub is active, I was guessing this'd be more than adequate?

What's added to your headunit being the model up, much?

The reason I went for an active sub is to keep things easy / tidy, what sort of cost for the seperates you mentioned? I just dont want loadsa wires / mess in my boot!!
