Hey! Bit of an odd one. I had 2 x 8GB in and I've swapped them out for 2 x 16GB of the corsair vengeance (basically what they were before!)
Both 'about' and task manager are showing 16GB. This doesn't appear to be the issue where it shows 32GB but is only using 16GB I mean, it's literally only showing 16GB.
Bios is showing 2 x 16GB sat in place and I've done a mem test to confirm no issues. I've re-sat them and also made sure boot isn't limiting memory usage. I feel like I'm pulling my hair out here. Any ideas?

ASUS ROG Strix Z690-A Gaming WiFi D4 LGA 1700 ATX Intel Motherboard

The RAM is vengeance rgb pro SL. I was using basically the same before. I’m on Win 11 pro 64bit. Msconfig shows 16. No iGPU allocation.

I tried them singular and back in and in different slots. I’ve got replacement ones coming today just to see if it’s an issue with them but I can’t really see it. I’m really confused, I was just expecting plug and play like I always do with RAM :’)

PC is still a fairly new build so nothing looks out of place, all clean as a whistle in there

So I’ve got a replacement and still the same issue! I’ve now removed the CPU and put it back with no changes. Both 8GB’s were in the same location and showing fine. As you can see the bios sees them both but is only reporting 16GB total. I’m so confused! https://imgur.com/a/CpDmsb8

Holy moly you’ve done it. I added in the other two and the full amount showed and then I removed them and I’m seeing 32GB!! Never would I have thought of that but it did the trick thank you so much everyone ☺️
