Upgraded to MSI R9 270x Monitor No Signal ;( ?

Hello,

I upgraded to a R9 270X, and turned on my PC to get no signal.

I can't figure out why, and how to fix it.

My specs are as followed:

1 x Intel Core i5-3570K 3.40GHz (Ivybridge) Socket LGA1155 Processor (77W) -
1 x Gigabyte Z77MX-D3H Intel Z77 (Socket 1155) DDR3 Micro ATX Motherboard
1 x PC Power & Cooling Silencer Mk III Series 600W '80 Plus Bronze' Modular Power Supply
1 x Corsair XMS3 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3 PC3-12800C9 1600MHz Dual Channel Kit

Just want to point out I have tried reseating it several times, and the fans are running etc

I am updating to the latest BIOS to see if that works.

I am not trying to sound condescending but this happened to me too. Are you using multi-monitor?

Sometimes the card will default to a different monitor. When I replaced a card once, I spent 45 minutes baffled before realising that the image was being sent to my television.

Flashing the BIOS should have fixed it really =/.

I have it working now I installed the latest BIOS, but I originally thought no idea how that will help as my motherboard is pretty brand new so I expected the card to work out of the box.

Yea It has sentimental value to me as my father purchased it for me to upgrade from my 8800 which broke, and my father died in 2010 so I never felt like upgrading/replacing it.
